On the 1st February 2004, the Practice left the cozy but inadequate premises at 1 Murray Road and moved to the present premises. With such spacious and convenient premises the Practice has made considerable changes towards improvement of providing its patients a high standard of medical care and services.

This Practice has been in operation since the early 60’s and the current senior partner, Dr. P. Goodwin joined Dr. Ralph Basden in the early 70’s. Dr. Di Monaco had joined the practice in the late 80’s. Dr. Burford and Dr. Johal have since joined the Medical Team. In August 2004 and 2007, (2) two other Doctors, Dr. Ewa Cumming and Dr. Amanda Shanmugarajah joined the Practice.

The move to the new location has given the Practice a window of opportunity, considering its extensive investment in developing its staff to be able to meet all the requirements of the New General Medical Services (GMS) Contract, which came into force in April, 2004. The Practice has also actively been involved in teaching medical students and training GP Registrars.

It has been more that 5 years from 1st February 2004, since the Practice moved to the present premises. With the current convenient premises, the Practice has attained the plans set last 2004 towards improvement, providing its patients a high standard of medical care and services. Eastbury Surgery has always stressed its objectives of Awareness, Respect and Commitment. The Partners and Staff work together as a team wherein its philosophy is expressed in achieving its objectives.
